Need help with old program installation. PlayrDeluxe won't download with Windows 7

I've got a 2000 program for Magix PlayrDeluxe I use to splice music for my dance studio. I got a new computer with Windows 7 and the program will not download. I think it needs a 32 bit and mine is now a 64 bit something or other?! Can someone help me??? I need to cut music ASAP! Thanks! Does Magix offer an upgrade that will be compatible??

Hi,

the program is 12 years old - it is not made for Win7 or XP or Vista.

If you need a program to cut audio file please use the new version of Magix Music Maker or Magis Audio Cleaning Lab, both run on Win7.

You wont get that to work on Windows 7, the operation system is to new for the code line used in that title of the MAGIX software.

At the prices of Magix software, and the date of your owned product, it is doubtful there is an upgrade, you would probably need to purchase outright.

If you need to cut/edit audio, I recommend downloading the trial of the Audio Cleaning Lab 17 Deluxe... make sure you register the trial and get it for 30 days. If you find it useful, then you can purchase it. If you have questions on it (even the trial) you can ask here, I have used Audio Cleaning Lab for many years now.

Thanks john-auvil! I DO have a question... on the old Playr Deluxe I could view a "counter" where I could change the cutting point to the hundredth of a second allowing me to cut and splice music to almost perfection. On the Audio Cleaning Lab, I don't see that option anywhere? I see how I can cut sections, but how do I view the counter to cut at 0.00 of a second as opposed to the whole second that currently views? The whole second mark becomes like a guessing game for what I need to do. THANKS for your help on this which is my deciding factor of buying the software.

You can zoom into and out of the audio using the plus (+), minus (-) icons marked in red on the display illustration below:
