@Derek-Thompson

Hi and welcome to the forum.

. . . . Need a closable window to open over the current page from a Nav Button . . . .

What you are wanting to create is a pop-up layer - see pop-up layer in the programs Help pages how to create one is covered there.

Do note that a lot of viewers may have pop-ups blocked in their browsers.

Tks for the reply. I'm new to this software and I find the instructions in the manual confusing. The step by step doesn't show the exact menu selections on how to do it. They talk about stuff but don't show where it is. In a previous pkg I used, setting the Hyperlink Type you would select "Site Page" and select an option, they called a "Lightbox", which was essentially a Popup window with an "X" in the upper corner to close it. If you clicked anywhere on the page the window would also close. This software was supposed to be easy to use. I'm a senior and find the help and manual poorly written. I'm trying the software because the automatic ability to format across all platforms in one pass was the draw.

does anyone know how to insert a google form so that it automatically opens when the page opens and has the little "X" at the top to close it

Hi

The program is easy for the basics, however when it come to interactive elements or adding forms etc it quickly becomes more complex.

From experience creating a manual the provides sufficient information for a user without going into greater detail is a fine line between having something that is useable, the alternative would have hundreds of pages making it unwieldy.

See this YouTube video on creating a pop-up layer.

For Google forms you need to create a Placeholder and insert the code you obtain from Google - this is also covered in the manual and there are a few videos on YouTube about placeholders however they are not what I would call user friendly for someone new to the program.
