Hi

We need more information:

Computer specification and program version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full - I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.

Are the graphics card drivers up to date?

When you restart Photostory does it crash immediately or when you open/start a new project?

Are there any error messages or does the program ask you to send a crash log to Magix?

What changed on the computer eg: antivirus update or new version, Windows upgraded to a newer version, etc ?

I was able to verify the following:

  1. Verified HDD has 96 GB free space
  2. Verified all drivers were up to date
  3. Verified Windows 11 is fully patched
  4. Repaired Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistribute (x64) – 1427.29112
  5. Rebooted the computer and still crashing.
  6. System crashes whether images are on local HDD or external HDD.
  7. System (C:\) drive is SSD

It only crashes on the folder "I:\Construction below Callaway\February 2022" but no other folders in the root directory. We sent a crash report that references email address email address removed by Moderator. Please review that along with these notes and provide feedback.

I'm not a really tech savy person so I have to go to someone who understand the language. What you received was from someone who was trying to answer your questions. Trying to get my Photostory working is getting way to complicated so I'm just going to delete it from my computer and buy some other video program. It's so sad because I really enjoyed using Photostory when it worked.
