My copy of photostory 2014 delux , under the Effects tab, has NOTHING in picture-in-picture collage. Everything else appears to work fine. What do I do ?

My copy of photostory 2014 delux , under the Effects tab (To the right of Media-Transitions-title-), has NOTHING in picture-in-picture collage. No files, no options, it is simply a blank page . Everything else appears to work fine. What do I do ? Do I need to download it from somewhere ? I was especially hoping to use this function.

Hi,

Did you download all of the Free Downloads under Help? If not, then do so.

If the above does not help, then something may have changed in 2014. I only have 2013.

All of the effects that are in PIP in PhotoStory2013 are actually Collages and should not have been under PIP. In Movie Edit Pro, they are in Design Effects, Collages, which makes sense. PIP does not make collages in MEP, it makes actual PIP's by reducing the size of the image and placing it left, right, top or bottom. To get 4 images in a PIP in PhotoStory would require one image per track, superimposed. So, Magix may have changed the location in PhotoStory 2014 to correspond more to reality, Collages and PIP's are different. They may have simply moved the collages to a different folder and left PIP blank. Please let us know if this is the case.

Finally, look in C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\PhotoStory on DVD 2013 Deluxe\VideoEffects\Collage or thereabouts to see if a Collage folder exists. If it does, then look elsewhere in the program for the effects other than in PIP. You can search for files with the extension .ctf. If you find a bunch, then you have the collage effects; if not, then they are missing.

The image below shows what you should be looking for in PhotoStory, even though the screen shot is from MEP. The other image shows the screenshot from PhotoStory2013. You can see that the titles are the same.

I have exactly the same problem... When I try to download new content nothing happens? And i've looked in that directory that browj2 suggested. The directory is there, but it is empty. If I search the whole directory for .ctf files I get nothing.

Can anyone else help?
