my audio effects stopped working

i havn't messed with mmm16 premium for maybe about a month, and now my sound effects aren't woking. when i used to right click a midi object, the effects would show up in the window that popped up, but now they don't. so on the task bar, i click "effects\audio\audio effects" and the effects are there, but they aren't in regular dark text and i can't click them. i already un and re installing the entire program, i went to progam settings and tried to manually re add the path to the audio effects, and even copy from the disc again; nothing works! all my instruments and fx work from the mixer, and the "audio fx rack track..." but not the ones from right clicking and the task bar. PLEASE HELP! this really sucks.

You CANNOT directly add effects to a MIDI object (in MMM). A MIDI object is not an audio object, therefore audio effects will not work.

The audio effects CAN be applied to the TRACK the MIDI object is on using the Mixer. (The MIDI track must be "played" (by the MIDI synth) to produce audio to which the track effects are applied.)

I believe you are thinking of AUDIO object, not MIDI objects. Does the Audio Effects Rack work with your audio objects?
