in a midi track, when I try to select a sound it appears:

"For software instruments realtime monitoring you have to activate the following options:

- asio driver sistem.

then I go to the "Program preferences/system/audio" and I choose "audio M-Audio Usb Asio", but the problem still remains.

My soundcard is a M-Audio Fast Track Pro. I use Win/7

Hi

You should have the option to select Magix Low Latency . . .  ASIO driver as well as the M-Audio.

Try this instead of the M-Audio driver.

I did so but the error response is the same. When I use Microsoft Wave table there is no problem.

Hi

. . . . When I use Microsoft Wave table there is no problem. . . . .

On the Audio/Midi tab of the programs settings there are two sections - Audio playback and MIDI playback - these ar two indpendant items.

Audio playback refers to audio files such as wav, mp3, ogg etc and the soundpool files.

MIDI playback requires a 'converter' to take the MIDI commands and convert them into the appropriate sound hence the Microsoft Wavetable must be selected - unless you have a sound card with its own 'Wavetables' eg a Yamaha or an older Santa Cruz card.

The error message is not exactly clear what you should be setting.

I tried Magix Low Latency .as my asio driver and in settings I choose M-Audio Fast Track Pro but the error continues.

If you have no more sugestions my I'd rather run a better anti-virus or format my disk.
