Music Maker 15

A friend got me this software for Christmas, haven't done much with it yet....but really I want to see if I can hook up a microphone to it (Windows Vista computer) and play around with vocal editing/harmonizing....I'd also like to know if I can hook up my Korg Triton synth to it and do some songwriting with it....I'm impressed at the realistic electric guitar sounds it has, I would hope I could do more than just paste pattern after pattern to create a song. Any help would be appreciated!

Sure you can.  The simplest way to accomplish this would be with a proper audio/MIDI interface for your computer.

I'd imagine you'd get better results simply recording the audio from your Triton, but you can also record MIDI sequences in MM-15.  However, MM-15 is not a true DAW, so it will not respond to the pitch bend and modulation wheels on your keyboard.

If you have sound, you already have a "sound card" whether it is built-in or a separate card.  Look at your computer - you should see a row of small, multi-colored jacks.

The magenta (hot pink) jack should be the microphone jack.  There should be a little microphone symbol right next to it.

Computer microphones are of generally poor quality.  I've tried plugging in a third-party mic into my sound card, but I could get no sound from it.

If you do get results but are unhappy with it, you should look into getting a real audio interface and a high quality microphone.  I assumed that's what you were looking for in the first place.

Yes, you can make a copy of it and transpose.  However, I wouldn't recommend transposing more than a few semi-tones, but you'll have to decide that for yourself.

(Object Menu) Tempo & Pitch > MIDI Transposition

That's a completely separate issue.  I'd suggest you repost it as a separate question so more people will see it.
