Can you cut out dead space from imported songs using Music Maker MX? If so how? Everytime I try cuting dead space from my imported songs the entire song goes.
It does not appear that the Music Maker MX has a audio editor. So, if you are going to be doing extensive editing or cutting then you might want to look into getting the Magix Audio Cleaning Lab as well.
But... there is something else I would like to show you that you can do in Music Maker MX that might help you in this situation.
I have recently started converting all my CDs into MP3 files for the sake of having the ability to have playlists of my favorite music. Some of these CDs had cheap hidden songs that were actually the last song followed by minutes of silence then an additional song that was not on the cover list.
Here I am showing you such a song... please note that it is one single object. There is a separation of silence, then another song begins. I think this is similar to what you have. Here is what I can do in Music Maker MX to have 2 separate songs while also eliminating the dead space.
What I do now is duplicate the same song. to do this, I press 'CTRL D' and it duplicates the object. I drag it into the track directly below.
Now, I can use the lower handle of the second object to trim past the silence to the begin visual of the second song in that object. I will do the opposite to the first song by left clicking the right trim handle, holding while I move to the right (past the silence) to the end of the first song.
I am now left with two objects that I can now put together on one track, thus effectively cutting the material the way I wanted it. When I export these out again, I will have the ability to make them two separate objects... if I was to burn them to disc, each would be their own track.
