Multicam changes whole track

Hi I'm using Video deluxe 2017 premium (v 16.0.3.66). I recently posted a question about chroma key and multicam together. But multicam itself still give me trouble, even without choma key.

I get it to work till I see the 2 cam tracks in the preview window. I can click on the track I wanna start with and see this filling up track 1 & 2. The problem starts with the camera switch. When I click the other cam in the preview window track 1 & 2 change completely. So not from the point in time where the vertical red line is, but the whole track from 0:00s.till the end.

This doesnt happen everytime. Sometime I get lucky and make a few good camera switches and then 'without reason' it changes the last part of the track completely. So it does not react to the change in timeline anymore.

This problem also occurs with really simple editing when i have 2 different camera recordings on tracks 3/4 and 5/6. So no filters or other effects activated.

I hope I have described the problem good enough.

Is there noone who has (had) the same problem, that the multicam function doesn't work well?

Hi, sorry no-one has responded to your post but I suspect the reason is that no other user has seen this problem, as you suggest. I certainly haven't!

Because of this I am very hesitant to suggest any possible remedy but I think the first thing to try is a Repair of your program installation. If you have the program DVD or if it was a download (hopefully you still have the installation files) if you insert the DVD or start the installer files you should soon see an option to Repair or Remove the program. Clearly, try the first option first!

If that fails to correct the problem then I think a complete uninstall, computer reboot and reinstall may be your only option, preceded ideally by the creation of a Windows System Restore point in case you find you need to revert your system to how it was before you attempted the uninstall etc.

On the other hand, since this problem appears to be unique to you I think you have a very good reason to raise a Support Ticket with Magix at http://support.magix.com
