MTS FILES NOT RECOGNIZED. HOW CAN I DOWNLOAD VIDEO FROM MY CANON VIXIA HF11, USB ONLY NOT FIREWIRE.

I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO COMMECT MY CANON HF11 TO MY COMPUTER AND IMPORT OR RECORD VIDEO FILES TO MY MAGIX MOVIE EDIT PRO 14. WITH NO SUCCESS.
I ALWAYS GET A MESSAGE THAT THE MTS FILES ARE NOT RECOGNIZED OR THAT MAGIX CANNOT CONNECT WITH MY DV CAMCORDER .

ANY HELP WOULD BE WELCOME.

Hi,

For AVCHD/MPEG-4 support, you will have to activate the MPEG-4 codec in Movie Edit Pro 14. This can be done under "Help" => "Activate additional functions". Until this is done, the program won't even recognize the files. Dolby Digital Stereo decoder and MPEG-2 need to be activated, too. Keep in mind that you will need the "Plus" edition of Movie Edit Pro 14 for proper AVCHD support. If you don't have that yet and you need to upgrade, go straight to Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus, which is a big improvement as far as AVCHD handling goes.
