>mtp - animated DVD Menu Files from Catooh

marylou wrote on 11/19/2014, 5:24 PM

I have downloaded these files and used them on Photostory 2013 Deluxe successfully.  Then I needed to have my harddrive formatted.  The .mtp files are backed up on my hard drive.  They no longer show up on the Burn page in the DVD menu seletion area and when I try to import, .mtp file format is not recognized.  What happened?

I have a PC with Windows 7.

How can I get these DVD menu files to show us in the menu and to work again.

Hi Marylou and welcome to the Community,

I went through PhotoStory 2013 and I have no .mtp files whatsoever. I have tpl and mxv files, but no mtp. I also went through several versions of Movie Edit Pro and I have nothing like that.

All of the files for the DVD menus are under: C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\PhotoStory on DVD 2013 Deluxe\DVD

Take a look at the structure there.

Can you give me a couple of examples of the complete filenames of the downloaded menus, and associated files?

Thanks for response.  I kept browsing the community and found an answer that worked.

I opened up Photostory and set up a new slideshow- no need to give it a name.  Then in the right hand side, I went to the MEDIA TAB, selected MAGIX MEDIA, clicked on the Backup folder which contained my .mtp DVD menu files I had downloaded from Catooh.  I opened each one to save to where ever MAGIX saves it.  I then went to the Burn page and voila, it showed all my animated DVD menu templates.

Thanks for responding though.

Hi

@ John CB

FYI - mtp files are the installer files for the various effects, templates etc for Photostory,  MEP etc.
