mp4 3D files from qoocam and iphone Spatial Video

SekBiu-Leung wrote on 3/25/2024, 8:51 PM

Tried importing 3D files from Qoocam Ego (side by side), but the timeline does not see two tracks, only one video track with the side by side frames and a sound track.

Cannot see the iPhone Spatial video as 3D files.

What need to be done?

Tried export the Qoocam 3D file but it cannot make a new side by side 3D file.

Thanks

Hi

. . . . . the timeline does not see two tracks, only one video track with the side by side frames and a sound track. . . . .

That is correct for Side by Side (SBS) recordings.

See this Magix 3D tutorial, though done in an older version of Movie Studio (it was prevously called Movie Edit Pro) the principles are the same.

I would also suggest your read the manual available under Help in the program.

Hi,

Thanks and I have followed the tutorial.

Found that it works but it was very slow, seeing a warning message "Mix down...Please update video driver, hardware encode is deactivated.."

I have re-install the latest Nvidia driver for the RTX3070 and did not help, what else I need to do?

Thanks in advance,

Bill

@SekBiu-Leung

Which CPU do you have? For me, Hardware Encoding depends on both my NVidia GPU and my Intel CPU (with integrated GPU). If your CPU does have integrated graphics, are its drivers fully up to date?

Not all CPUs include an integrated graphics facility, unfortunately.

I am using intel i7 8700K, RTX3070.

Also found that when output to 2D, it shows hardware encoding.

Another thing is the aspect ratio is different when I export to AV1 3D sbs full vs mp4 sbs full, AV1 is about 16:9 while mp4 give a compressed width.

Thanks

Hi

. . . . "Mix down...Please update video driver, hardware encode is deactivated.." . . . .

The message in erroneous - it should just say 'Mix down'.

Hardware acceleration (HWA) is not supported by the Intel iGPU or RTX GPU when exporting as 3D video, either as AV1 or MP4.

For the fastest export, in the Program Settings, Device options tab set the Import, Processing and Export options to the RTX GPU.
