Moving MAGIX MX Pro to Windows 11

I move my old software to a new Windows 11 machine. The Magix audio software works fine. However the Movie editor will not come up. I click on it, it blinks and disappears. I've set the Windows compatibility mode to Windows 7 and that does not work.

I am willing to upgrade to newer software, but Movie Studio 22 and MAGIX Video Pro X14 trial software will not open my old projects. I get the error "Can't open MPG files due to licensing." Is this only with the trial software? Or do I need a different upgrade?

@Matt-Simmons

Hi

Movie Edit Pro MX is not fully compatible with Windows 11, which in combination with modern computer graphics hardware results in the issue you are seeing.

. . . . I get the error "Can't open MPG files due to licensing." Is this only with the trial software?  . . . .

It is one of the limitations of the trial versions, there are others eg export time is limited and not all functions / features in the full versions are available.
