the Photocontent files that came with software are great, but they do occupy 8.6 GB of my C: drive on windows (c:\ ...\Common\Photocontent\Photostory Deluxe) . How can I properly move this 8.6 GB folder to an external drive, so I can free up needed space on C:?
Moving the C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Photocontent\Photostory Deluxe should only be done when you have a second internal drive in the computer.
USB devices are not recommended for this, they can cause issue with disconnects eg the drive and/or USB ports entering power saving mode - for more information see this article.
Do note that any issues occurring from doing this are your responsibility.
Thanks John. I do have two additional INTERNAL HDs, listed as D: and E: drives. So when I move the folder into one of these what name should I call it so Magix PhotoStory can find its location. thanks!
