Movie Studio 14.0 Platinum Sony M2TS file unsupported format

Attempting 'Add Media' for a Sony produced 23.4GB M2TS (MPEG-2 Transport Stream) file gives message "An error occurred while opening one or more files. The file is an unsupported format. The file contains an unsupported number of channels (6).

This file is happily accepted by Movie Studio Platinum 13.0.

It's a known bug. Vegas has its own forum https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/vegas-movie-studio-forum/

You will find threads there about it and possible work arounds until Magix fix it.
