Movie Flickering

Hi,

I am using video pro x6. I've been asked to edit from a DVD. The DVD has been imported using DVD Decrypter. When I play the file on my PC everything looks ok, but when I import into my editing software i've noticed a few areas that flicker. Windows and blinds for example. It then exports in the same way.

Is there a setting I can apply to stop this?

Windows 10.

Hi Faisal

. . . . . The DVD does not contain copywright. It is a video of the wedding that I have been asked to re-edit by the bride, as they like my editing.

I did a Google search on 'how to copy from DVD to PC' and the instructions that came up told me to download decrypter, I just thought that was the way to transfer files correctly.

Is there any difference between using decrypter and copying the VOB file straight onto the PC?

Thank you for the clarification.

To answer your question - if the DVD has not been protected, then you can copy the VOB files direct to your computer.  If the files will not import directly try changing the file extension ( the VOB ) part of the file name to MPG and then import.

An effect that can occur when there are horizontal line such as in blinds and some patternsof fine lines is the Moire effect.  This can be very difficult to remove.

One option to ensure you do turn on in either the export dialog or the burn dialog, if you are going to burn back to dvd is the De-interlace filtering option - this may help
