Hi Donaldo,

Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus does support the import and editing of AVCHD material. This doesn't require any special option in the program to connect the camera. After all, this is not a DV or analog tape camera.

When you hook up your AVCHD camera via USB, it will appear as a drive letter in Windows, pretty much just like an ordinary external hard drive. The M2TS files on your camera's hard drive can then just be copied to your computer's hard drive and/or dragged & dropped right into Movie Edit Pro from the media pool/file browser. This will initiate the import.

I'm not sure why you would want to play the edited footage back to the camera. Do you just want to use the camera as a portable medium or to replay the edited footage again? That's the only reasons I could think of. Well, you could probably mix down your results to a MPEG-4 file again and copy them back to the camera's hard drive. However, chances are the camera wouldn't be able to process and display that file.

I hope this helps.
