Movie Edit Pro 11 won't open MP4s??

Why can't I open & edit MP4 video files with my Magix Movie Edit Pro 11? Isn't MP4 supported by Edit Pro 11? What do I need to do in order to get Edit Pro 11 to work with MP4 videos??????

If you download a program called AVS audio convert - it costs about 45 euro but is a great programme to have - can covert several audio file formats

Hi,

This file format was indeed not supported in version 11 of Movie Edit Pro yet. MPEG-4 content is accepted in an AVI file, though. You don't really have to shell out for a conversion software, though. The following free program might do the trick:

After you have repacked the content into an AVI file this way, make sure you have suitable MPEG-4 codecs installed and try the import again...or just go for the newest version of Movie Edit Pro, which can handle these files. :-)
