MOV file codec

My JVC camera uses MOV Files my copy of Magix M/E pro silver wil not read them, can I download a codec attachment for this program so that it will?

Download from Internet 'GSPOT', and check the MOD-file and your PC. Gspot will perhaps tell you that a codec is missing.

I believe you're referring to MOD files, just as the other poster suspected. "MOV" is just part of the file name. It's not the file type/extension. So, the files from your JVC camera are MPEG-2 files. They cannot be imported into the "Silver" version of Movie Edit Pro, as it doesn't support MPEG-2 handling. You'd need the classic or "Plus" version of the program for that:

If you're really referring to *.MOV files, these are Apple Quicktime files. You'd need to install the Apple Quicktime player including the associated codecs for this to work:
