MEP2022 Install - An error has occurred

RayMac1264 wrote on 9/3/2022, 8:26 PM

Trying to install MEP2022 on a new WIN 11 PC and during the install it stops and says

"An error occured during transfer which caused the installation to stop. This problem can most
likely be fixed by restarting the transfer of the installer application. If you experience further problems
contact the Magix support: http://support.magix.com

Click OK to restart the installation transfer"

Doing so just does the same thing over and over. This program was downloaded on my magix.com account
through the "my products" tab.

After hitting cancel instead it says

"the setup fiule is corrupted. If you downloaded this file from the internet download it again.

Expected filze size: 1252975360
Actual file size: 639002242 "

Tried reaching out to customer service but the email
bounces back as being undeliverable.

I'm stuck and I'm hoping someone has a solution.

Ray, there is a long-term issue in the download/installation process. The solution that's worked is to contact Magix at

infoservice@magix.net

and give them all your details. They should then give you a direct link to the install file.

All my forum comments are based on or refer to my System 1.

My struggle is over! I built my (now) system 2 in 2011 when DV was king and MPEG 2 was just coming onto the scene and I needed a more powerful system to cope. Since then we've advanced to MP4 and to bigger and bigger resolutions. I was really suffering, not so much in editing (with proxies) but in encoding, which just took ages. A video, with Neat Video noise reduction applied, would encode at 12% of film speed. My new system 1 does the same job at 160% of film speed. Marvellous. I'm keeping my old system as a capture station for analogue video tapes and DV.

Thank you, speaking with them right now. Unfortunately first round of attempts to fix it has not worked.
Hopefully this will get resolved soon.
