making your image on the dvd fit the tv screen

i can make a slideshow but am having trouble with the image size on tv
usually there is a black edge around the image on the tv screen

i am exporting and burning the dvd in the program magix extreme photostory
on cd and dvd

i don't have the same program. i have photos on dvd & cd 9 but when i open a new project i can chose between 4:3 and 16:9 screen size and under these options there is a box where i can check saying i want the project to be automatically adjusted to the screen size. maybe theres something similar.
