Magix Studio Delux 2005 and Samplitude 15

hello everyone!

I bought a new computer and new software for recording and mastering etc.  I saved all of my songs on an external harddrive.  I saved it numerous times just in case some of the songs would be deleted or something.  And this exactly what happened!!!!!!!!!!!!! i uploaded all of the songs on my new computer and some of them open and almost most of them do NOT.  when i open the files (VIP) i get a message that says the files are not found and if I would like to continue.  I skip all etc and then the VIP opens up.  It has the tracks, the names of the tracks and the areas that were recorded but there is NO wave files !!!!!!  i tried to locate the wave files on my computer and ext.harddrive but I have had NO success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  what can i do about this now?????????? other than RE-RECORD ALL OF THE SONGS I MADE??!?!?!?!?

If I undeerstand you correctly.....you recorded all your songs on an external drive, AND yu recorded them all the same way and now some will open but most will not.....that tells me that there is a difference between the two and they were not all recorded the same way.  You need to figure out what that difference is and then change all the non-working ones.  All it takes is just a small error to cause big problems

Hi! Thanks for answering my question! I am on my phone and it wont let me answer in the forum.:-( to answer ur question, I used the external hard drive to create backup files and they didnt open! Some of them did (completely)and some opened slightly(only vocals or just the beat). Please copy and paste this email! Thanks again! Ruff
