Hi

Did you install MMM for all users on your computer or just you?  Are you using the same user account that you used to install the software?

Hi

Locate and rename the musicmaker.ini file - there may be several, then start MMM.

If this does not work, which Windows version and is it 32 or 64 bit.  Antivirus and Anti Spamware software and Firewall are installed?

Check the following:

1.  Right click My Computer or Computer on your desktop and select Manage

2.  In the dialog box select Services or Services and Applications, then Services from the left pane

3. In the right pane, scroll down and locate Firebird Server Magix Edition and see if it is disabled, it should be set to Manual

4.  Try starting the service (right click and select Start) it should start and stay running.  If this is OK then you can stop it again.

5.  If the services fails or stops again then check there is nothing preventing the service running eg Firewall settings.  You may get an error message.

HTH
