Magix Music Maker bit conversion

Hi

I need to convert recordings (wav) from 44khz 16-bit mono to 11khz 8-bit mono. I've managed to convert to 11khz but I can't see how to convert from 16-bit to 8-bit (audio sample size of 8 bit).

I'm using the trial version to see if it can do the conversions I require.

I can't say for sure but depending on what version you're using... the MP3 converter will allow you to reduce the resolution to 8 bits. Otherwise Free programs like Audacity (I think) let you do this low.

Ideally you should record in 11khz / 8 bit because of the loss in the conversion but if you have existing recordings then try those suggestions.
