MAGIX Music Maker 15 Premium Freezes!

Hi!

I've got MAGIX Music Maker 15 Premium, and there are 2 things I'd like to get an answer to:

1. Whenever I click on a SoundLoop with a Music Note & Earth behind it, the software often Freezes, why is this happening?

2. I watched the Getting Started video Tutorial, and the guy had some different Styles than me. e.g.: He had Rock Pop, but I don't!

1) I'm not sure what Music Note & Earth is... perhaps more details there plus your system specs might clear that up

2) Sounpools can be bought seperately other than the ones that comes included with the program

Hi,

I believe the little icon you're referring to is supposed to show a note and a 5-pin DIN connector, as it represents MIDI loops. So, basically, when you're importing one of those (as opposed to importing one of the simple audio loops with the speaker icon next to them), the program will try to fire up the software instrument (e.g. Vita) that is associated with the specific loop in question. Why this often freezes the program is hard to diagnose from here. Does the system meet the program requirements? Does it have enough computing power and RAM to run bigger VST instruments? Does it have a proper sound card with decent drivers? Many factors could figure into this equation. You could at least try to go into the program settings and try out the different driver models that are available. ASIO is generally the best choice for most music purposes, but if you sound card doesn't really support this well, you could also try the other ones. I guess ASIO drivers are only really imperative when performing recordings to minimize the latency times.

If you have the download version of the program, make sure you downloaded and installed the content packages via the appropriate option in the "Help" menu to get the full amount of soundpools that goes with this version of Music Maker. Naturally, this might also just have been some soundpool that was installed when the demonstration video was created. Don't worry if it's missing from your installation.
