Here is a LINK to a German site (I used Google translate for myself) with information. Additional INFO here. It sort of reminds me of when Alludo took over Corel last year. That effectively killed Pinnacle Studio, Videostudio Pro, Paintshop Pro, and other software under the Corel umbrella.
Magix is restructuring, and when ever I read something like this, it has never meant anything good, at least with the software I've used.
Reading in the Vegas forum, going back to last year, developers had mentioned the increased amount of engineers working on Vegas, it's dated coding, and implementing a new video engine, more "AI" features, etc.. But where does this leave the current crop of Magix video editing software is anyone's guess. The "glut" of free software, ranging from Davinci Resolve Free to CapCut (the data mining software from China), the landscape of paid consumer editing software has changed, along with the "desires" of those who want to emulate the "TikTok/Instagram" look in their editing.
We are in interesting times for sure....
