Lost project and hours of work when Photostory easy froze

Hello, I registered for a 30 day trial of Photostory easy. When I was working on a project, it froze so I used Task Manager to close it. When I went to open IMAGIX Photostory easy (version 2) from my desktop, it gives me three choices:

Activate with serial number
Purchase online (both of these 2 require me to purchase)
Continue using trial   30 days still remaining
                                      Test Program

The problem is it only lets me select Test Program and when I do that, it asks if I want to Create new slideshow or Load slideshow and there is no active slideshow to upload.

I'm very frustrated that my project appears to be completely lost because the program froze and it will only allow me to select Test Program and not access my 30 day trial.

Since I have been working on this project for hours, I'm hoping there was an auto-backup feature so I can retreive my project.

I was very close to purchasing the deluxe because I was very happy with the program and how my project was turning out but if I cannot get my project back, I will not purchase.

Please help!

@Shelly-Cloke

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Did you save the project before the program froze?

If not there may be auto-saved backups which can be recovered - look under File, Open automatically saved project .

Do note that one the limitations, of the trial version is that exports have a limited number of formats and are restricted to 3 mins in length.

Once purchased these restrictions are removed and extra feature and functions are available.
