If you base your creation on pre-recorded audio loops, the possibilities are more limited of course. You can only change the overall pitch of the loop by changing its speed. If you want to create your own bass loops without actually playing and recording a real bass, you would have to compose a little MIDI sequence and play that via a suitable software or hardware synth/sampler. Other than that I guess I'm not really sure of the question and what other advice one could give you.

I feel your pain!
It's tough to try to follow standard music creation on a loop or sample based system. I wish they would introduce a chord creation system where the samples would tune to your chords, then you can enter the chord progression.

I've downloaded free sound file tuner and have changed the pitch of the samples. This can be done in Music Maker but the results aren't always desirable. After you've tuned your sounds you can lay them out in the arranger window.

I hope this helps,
Justin
