A recent problem began with no known cause using DVD 7 and the free version of 8.

I have tried several installations and Restore Points.

When the Project file is opened the preview screen flashes as each element of the file is seemingly loaded. In the editing window all the files and more appear. But there is no way to Edit them.

I conclude that the Edit function is the problem but it should have worked properly after several re-installations.
