Latency

Im a songwriter not a musician. I have acid studio 11 and trying to record a keyboard. I have an interface for instruments but for some reason the guy at guitar center said i have to hook my USB HOST to my hdmi on computer. i now hear it.. but the delay!! someone in the most simplest way..tell me how to fix it.

What? Usually you connect your microphones/instruments to your USB audio interface and your headphones/speakers to your USB audio interface. Then you select your USB audio interface ASIO driver in the ACID audio settings.

Usb to HDMI? I dont think the guy at guitar center has any idea what a computer is, let alone what USB or HDMI is.
