I read that to fix this i had to uninstall everything and installing again soundforge 18.

@Marty74 Please update the program and then check the Sound Forge Pro 15 program folder for files called RemoveSFContextMenus.reg and RemoveCustomContextMenu.reg (this file might be in the in the IAScripts subfolder).

You can open the files with a text editor and see which entries in the Windows registry will get deleted. You can merge it into the registry via a right click.

The "RemoveSFContextMenus.reg" file for SFP-17 & 18 are in the 'Program Data/Magix' folder. SFP-15 and others are in the 'Program Files/SOUND FORGE' folder.

When uninstalling, I usually recommend using a third-party uninstaller like 'Revo Uninstall' that can remove the left-over registry entries and other pertinent data the OS uninstall leaves behind, which can cause issues to reoccur.. Revo Uninstall has a pro and freeware versions. The free version is adequate in most cases,

if it's in the registery, i can do it myself, thanks. i'll find it then.
(I was using revo in the past but not anymore, and don't want to).

I was using Revo in the past but not anymore, and don't want to.

Care must be taken using Revo's advanced scan mode so 'shared files' are not check-marked so they are not removed. I did that once and removed a few plug-ins that were shared by another version of Sound Forge. Otherwise I have had no issues with Revo Uninstall, But use whatever floats your boat.

I don't use anymore such software which can do a mess in the registery (like CCleaner etc). i prefer to check myself and erase it in the registery myself !
so thanks for your information about the .reg in programdata, but in fact, i checked the whole registery with "Sound forge" and found lot of old files, from sound forge 10, 11, 12, 14, 15... so i cleaned everything, uninstalled 18, did the .reg remove, and installed it again, and it's working again, all clean ! so thank you !
