For some reason when i try to drag and drop and mp3 into acid pro 8.0, it can't do it. In all the other versions i've used, no problems. Does anyone have any idea whats going on?

Are you running Acid as administrator? Try running it normally, not as an admin. I have had similar issues in Acid and FL Studio when trying to run as admin.
No I wasn't running as admin. I've tried both ways. It will let you drag and drog .wav files with no problems, but no mp3's. I've been trying to phone Magix but its impossible to get ahold of them. Any other ideas?

No problems dragging and dropping Mp3 files here..........to be honest any issues I've had have been user errors.....

please specify your situation. Do you get an error message or wont it show anything in AP8? Did you convert the audio file before? The more details you can give us, the better.

right click acid icon..in the shortcut tab,click on advance...uncheck run as admistrator...hope this helps
