Here is a screen grab of the start up.

Hi @John-H2024, I have never seen that specific splash screen. Below is a screenshot of the splash screen I get (if enabled). You can try disabling the "Show logo splash screen on startup" in "Options> Preferences> General" menu. Maybe disable the "Disable news feed..." as well. If all else fails, try "Reset all preferences and clear cached data" in the File menu,

Hi Rick, thank you for the reply, but perhaps I should have given more info in my first post.

The video I posted above starts with my Windows 11 wallpaper. I have already disabled the logo splash screen. So the video goes from the Windows wallpaper into the Sound Forge audio editing workspace, but the windows at the bottom of the screen stay white for a few seconds. That is why I asked if that was normal. Have you played that video?

I did look at the screenshot video. I do not have Win-11 so I do not know if it is normal. Maybe another Win11/SF-18 user can comment. Do you have a earlier version of SF to compare the behavior?
Multiple versions of SF can be installed and activated on the same PC without issue.

Thanks Rick,

My previous version was SF9, so a bit dated. It does not have that sort of workspace with docking windows.I will be content that it works OK even if I think that startup is a bit odd.
