Is there (an easy) way to get files of objects in arrangement?

Hi there, everyone!

I need to send the files I used in one of my arrangements to someone.

So my question is: Is there a way to put used objects/files in one folder, because I've used many sounds/objects from various folders... (scattered files on my pc)

It's definitely not practical or much of an option to look up every object on my computer and then to put them into one folder. There must be an easier way I don't know about.....

Also, I there a way that I can avoid this problem in the future?

thx!

APS

p.s. thx again

Yes, that would be nice, however if you read and understood the End User License Agreement you agree to by using the product, you'd know that's not an option they would provide.  The EULA and soundpool license agreement does not state it implicitly but implies that only YOU have the right to use the material and simply giving the media (soundpools) to a third party (for free) is not permitted.

What is permitted is for you to share your arrangement with someone else who already has the program and the same soundpools as you.  For an extra free, you can also share screens with someone else over the internet and work on an arrangement simultaneously.

Even so, it is likely that for the arrangement to open correctly, the other user would need to show the program where each and every soundpool object is located on their computer.

Yes, there are ways to make doing what you want a little easier, but you'll have to figure that out for yourself since we cannot encourage you to violate your agreements.  You would need to "plan ahead".

Ok, I understand where you're coming from.

But say you've used sounds that are YOURS (not from magix) in an arrangement. You want to ''collect'' those files you used to put them in one organized folder. Do you have to look every individual file up & their directories to copy and paste them to a certain folder.

And when I make a new song in MMM and want to keep it organized (per project). How do I make sure that files I use in that arrangement go (automatically) in say a 'project folder'.

I'm sure people are organized with there work, and must use some organized method.

Yes, in the case where all of the material/media is yours, you can collect them to one folder specifically for the project.  However, MMM is not set up to do that automatically, and you would have to collect and consolidate all of the samples yourself.

If you already have your projects saved to a specific project folder (and you should have), then you can create a "media" folder within the project folder to collect (copies of) the samples.  It seems to me the easiest way to keep track is to write down the names and locations of the files as you go.

Yes, I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but that's the way it is.

Thanks very much for clarifying that!

At least I know now...
