Is there a social media subscribe template/lower thirds text?

Kobie-Mercury-Clarke wrote on 2/10/2024, 11:13 AM

I have Movie Studio Suite 2024 and I've looked in the store, Producer Planet, all effects and templates with the software and can not find any social media subscribe templates or lower thirds text objects/effects available. Am I missing something, or do these just not exist for Movie Studio? I love the software, but my Corel Video Studio Ultimate 2023 (which I'm trying to replace with Magix Movie Studio) has social media text templates available.
If anyone has a workaround, that could be the solution I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi

Taking your question in 2 parts:

. . . . social media subscribe templates or lower thirds text objects/effects available . . . .

Movie Studio does not have these.

You should be able to get the correct images from the social media sites you use, I doubt if any have a template /lower third as such.

You can create one yourself modifying an existing lower third (caption template) and images from the social media sites, and save this as a user template.

Hi.

If you have it, New Blue Titler Pro 7 has a dedicated Social Media collection folder that houses templates that can be modified to taste.

There are more templates than I show in this clip.

Thank you and technically, that is a solution but not quite what I was looking for since manually creating a lower third with a logo from a social site would make the logo more static than dynamic (animated). I'm just surprised that it's not available within the package and thought I'd ask in case I was missing where it was located. @CubeAce's example is more inline with what I was looking for. I do appreciate the response though and gives me something to think about (playing around with creating my own lower third social templates, time permitted of course).

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for, I just thought Magix would have their own templates for this somewhere. Thanks for the response!

Hi

. . . . with a logo from a social site would make the logo more static than dynamic (animated). . . . .

On the contrary the example @CubeAce gave is entirely possible without the use of 3rd party plugins.

The animations, spinning of the logo, movement and rotation of text are nothing more than keyframed Size Position and Rotation effect applied to the image and text objects.

If you look at some of the Caption and Intro/Outro templates you will see how they are done.

Hi.

@johnebaker is correct. It is possible to build your own animated texts and add logos. Logos can present a problem if you can't find a suitable one from the net and are not artistically inclined to produce your own.

If you haven't got a free copy of NewBlue Titler Pro 7 (As supplied by some previous upgrade offers) I'm not sure it would be worth the cost of buying the program just for this. There may be more suitable text animation packages out there to be had if that is your preference.

A basic logo could be made with Windows Paint 3D or a photo editing package like GIMP.

There may be other types of graphics packages I'm not ware of and some basic ones may even be free, Anything that allows you to add shapes and text and possibly some 3D shading if that takes your fancy. Such images ideally should be saved as png files with a transparent background. I created a few Logos / Icons in an hour.

Then they can be resized animated along with added text with the size position rotation effect. This is quite easy but can be time consuming. (Don't make them too small as they can be shrunk to size and that helps to make them look sharp). If you click on any of the icons you will be able to right click on the resulting image and save it as a png file which after testing seem to have retained their transparency layer. That mean you can add them to a project and do not need to use the Chroma Key tool to try to remove the backgrounds surrounding the icons. You are welcome to use them if you wish.

This took me about two hours to sort out as an example after creating the YouTube icon.

This one is another example of using animated text images.

I'm sure john CB will be around later and can probably point you to one of his tutorials dealing with using key frames.

Video Pro X also has a simple and neat little 3D graphics editor no-one on the forums or in the Magix publicity blurb seems to talk about that can do quite a bit. I often wonder why it is so often overlooked.

Forgive the nature of the next video. I have a general project file I use for multiple experiments.

Hi

In addition to @CubeAce's comment - most Social Media sites have icons and logos available for web page usage, these are also suitable for inclusion on video, for example X (Twitter) logos are here.

If offered in several image formats, get the jpg, bmp or png format.
