The Magix video programs (both Movie Edit Pro and Movies on DVD) generally support Quicktime/MOV. However, Quicktime is a container format and could contain different kinds of codecs and the program you're referring to is definitely not optimized for HD editing. You might want to try this in the newest version of Movie Edit Pro. However, even that isn't really optimized for HD content being in Quicktime files, as this is not much of a common source material as HDV (high def MPEG-2) or AVCHD material. So, really, the bottom line is: Get yourself the free trial version of Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus on the Magix website and see how well this works for you:
