Is Magix Music Maker MX Production Suite similar to Samplitude Producer 11.5?

I can see what each does on the product pages. So is SP 11.5 on it's way out the door? MX PS seems to be Music Maker Premium and Samplitude Producer 11.5 rolled into one.

How many instruments Can MMM MX Producer and Production Suite record at the same time?

There are many similarities between Music Maker and Samplitude, but there are also a few critical differences.

MM-MX Production Suite looks like MMM on steroids, however there's NO indication it is capable of multi-channel recording or has full MIDI support as Samplitude does (which is a true DAW).

I emailed magix. When I get a reply, I'll post it.

This is some of the email to Magix. The representative helped me..

Me: "How many tracks can Magix Music Maker MX Production Suite record simultaneously? People on the internet forums do not know."

Magix Rep: "The software can record 8 Stereo tracks at the same time, with up to 64 tracks available for use."

Also: " I would like advise to wait for the single release of Music Studio MX later on this year." In reference to samplitude 11.5.

Now, everyone knows this is inevitable, it is just a matter of time. My concern is: Right now what computer do I have and what are the system requirements? Because from Music Maker 17 Premium or less to MMM Studio MX: There is a jump in system requirements. If anyone needs Samplitude 11.5, and it works for them: Get it, or wait for that last offer from Magix in the emails.

Lastly about 32-bit and 64-bit:

The current Magix Music Maker MX programs and Samplitude 11.5 are 32-bit.

The rep I was talking to in email said: "64bit versions are in the pipeline." When I asked about them and mentioned that Win7 is almost all 64-bit and Win8 is comming which will probably only be 64-bit.

It's comming for everyone. And when it's time to upgrade the software or hardware, it will be more aligned.
