Instrument voices in Notation version 1

Did anyone ever figure out how to use this software.

I have problems with setting up the template ie each stave is assigned a different voice (note very good ones).

For example

stave 1 (treble clef) has piano
stave 2 (ass clef) has honky tonk piano.
Stave 3 (pedal) Pipe Organ

When played as you acn imagine it sounds bad.

What i want is for the piano to play on each stave.

Thanks in advance.

Product slection is incorrect as Notation is not there.

Hi,

You would have to change the program for the synth. Look in the "Arrange" window and find the settings for the track. Make sure the "Prg" checkbox is ticked and hold down your left mouse button on the number next to it to bring up the menu with all sounds/instruments in it. Don't release the mouse button before you have selected the new sound you want. I hope this helps and matches your program interface. I'm running Notation 2 here, cause I'm on XP. Things might be slightly different.

If you don't have any MIDI hardware connected that you could use for the playback, you'll have to resort to the "Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth". So yes, it does sound like crap... Unfortunately, you can't make us of any better sounding VST instruments in Notation.
