Installing Pro X - 30 trial download

I am attempting to install ProX on my editing computer. When I goto the Magix website and click the download link, a 4meg exe file is downloaded onto my computer. When I click on the exe file (to begin the install), nothing happens. There is no window that pops up, no error messages etc. I have all security and popup blockers turned off during these attempts to install. I am running Windows 8.

I have tested the install process on another (non-editing windows 10) computer, and the install procedure began flawlessly.

Are there any ideas?

Thanks for any help,
Rob J.

Hi

The fact that you a install on a different computer suggests that something is blocking the Down Load Manager - the first program you downloaded - from accessing the Internet.

This access is needed to download the actually VPX installation - check your Firewall and Antivirus program/suite is allowing the DLM to access the Internet.
