Hello there, I should start off by saying that I'm pretty new to using samplers, much less Independence, and I'm having a bit of an issue that I cannot seem to figure out.
My aim is to try to make a vocal synthesizer similar to what's used in a lot of remixes, EDM, and future pop these days out of a voice recording sample. What keeps happening though is that each note is not only changing the pitch of the sample but it's also changing its velocity, speeding it up or slowing it down. Is there a way I can have only the pitch affected by the notes played so that the sample always plays at the same velocity regardless of the altered pitch? I can find guides and tutorials for this kind of thing for everything from Kontakt, Ableton, and etc but nothing at all for Independence which of course doesn't really help me any, especially since I can't afford those programs at current. Any help or insight would be tremendously appreciated; I have some inspiration that I'm desperate to get out of my head and into a song. Thank you in advance.
This video goes over what it is I am trying to do, including an audio example at the 3:45 mark, but it's for a completely different set of programs unfortunately:
