in the middle of recording a vocal section on an arrangement the recording will stop. Can someone tell me why?

I will lay down the instrumental background music track, and then begin to record the vocal section. It doesn't seem to do it all the time, but I just recorded the melody line for the song, and when I accepted the take, I found that it had only recorded the first half of the song. The rest of it just wasn't there. I've tried it again, and it stopped recording at the same spot the second time.

Obviously I have something set incorrectly with the software. Can anyone tell me what that is?

I finally figured this out on my own. I had the settings for the bars at the top of the screen placed incorrectly so that it would only work on part of the arrangement, and then stop at that point. Once I placed the bar icons correctly at the front and end of the arrangement, everything worked perfectly.
