Hi puzzledman. A good thing to bear in mind with the ACL is that the editing you do is non-destructive. So you create a project, load an audio file, edit it, and at the end create a VIP file. If you've not already noticed, these are prett small, as they are not audio files, but only container files.

These include info on location of original source file, effects added etc, but no more.
So, try things out, as they are reversible.  This is a huge advantage as opposed to destructive editing, as we can all get it wrong. As they say, the proof of the pudding......
