I am trying to import two separate discs for editing in the same film.

When I try to import the second disc it says that the program already has vts 01 1 on and do i want to over-write. i have given the first one a name but doesnt seem to help!

yeah i know it will be obvious but please put me out of my misery!

Copy the .VOB-files from the VIDEO_TS directory on disk 1 to the harddisk, and give the file(s) new name(s). Then copy the same files from disk 2. Now you can start MEP and drag the .VOB-files from Media Pool down to the Timeline and edit.
I'm using MEP 14+.
