Image capture from USB 2861 device

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right section to post this question...

I have a USB video camera, installed as a 2861 device, which is working on Windows 10 64bit.

What I would like to do is the following: -

  • take a single image (snapshot/photo) at a regular interval (say 10 minutes)
  • save the image using the same filename every time (i.e. overwrite at each save)
  • ftp the file to a web server

Is there a Magix product that can achieve this in one go or would I have to break it down and use 2 or more programs?

Thanks in advance

Hi

. . . . Is there a Magix product that can achieve this in one go . . . .

This you cannot do with any Magix product - you would have to break this down in several steps.

. . . . take a single image (snapshot/photo) at a regular interval (say 10 minutes) . . . .

Would this be running 24/7 or just for a short period?

What is the purpose of doing this - there may be alternative methods?

Thank you for the reply

The 'capture' process is to show the current sky conditions (cloudy/clear/sunny/dull etc.)

it is envisaged that the process will be running at least 12 hours per day

Hi,

Managed to find an all-in-one solution.

Installed a product called YawCam which allows the capture of single images at whatever interval and then FTPs the latest file to our server.

Thanks
