open your file under a 'timeline' mode.  From there you will see your audio bar.  You can trim the beginning or the ending of the song or the music clip to your desire.

If you require the middle or part of the song, repeat the above procedure to your desire length.  Hope this can help.

BTW you can fade in and out of a audio clip too.  This is adjustable by moving the tiny square box inside the clip.
