I want Help Choosing the Right Music Software for My Project

Hey everyone,

I am working on a music project & want advice on which software to use. I have been searching into MAGIX Music Maker & Samplitude but I am not sure which one would be the best fit for my needs.

I create electronic and hip-hop beats but want something that also gives me flexibility for mixing and mastering. I want a program that is easy to use but still offers some advanced features as I improve. Also, having a good library of sounds and effects would be a huge plus!

My time is a bit limited. I need software that does not have a steep learning curve but still delivers great results.

Also I have check this https://www.magix.info/us/forum/import-music-maker-projects-into-music-studio--1264924/ If anyone here has experience with these programs, I appreciate your input. Are there any major differences between them? Which one would you suggest for someone who wants to produce high-quality tracks without spending weeks learning complicated software?

Thank you....... 😊

@mirellehgf-d It depends. You can technically use many free VST instruments to create beats and don't need a fancy DAW.

What do you want to achieve? Making music for fun or monetizing your music?

Be aware, using premade audio loops will directly lead you into a Content ID nightmare because a lot of different people use the same loops and the automated Content ID systems cannot differentiate between them. So most distributors won't let you monetize your music on platforms like YouTube and Instagram.

Next, for commercial usage you need to buy additional commercial licenses for the audio loops. So only getting Music Maker is not enough. This can add up fast.

If you want to compose everything yourself you'll need virtual instruments and some way to input the necessary audio and MIDI data into your computer. Therefore I recommend a USB MIDI keyboard and an external USB audio interface with its own ASIO drivers. That comes on top of your music software.

Music Maker is pretty simple but only has very limited mixing capabilities, for example only two AUX channels and not much automation options.

Samplitude Pro X8 and Samplitude Music Studio X8 are pretty much professional DAWs.
