i need to overlay 2 clips or trim and stich 2 clips

i have 2 clips i need to overlay my example would be i have 2  few second martial arts clips and i want to overlay 

the clip with a 2nd of me so they look like i am fighting with myself can this be done. 

if not can i trim the frames in the middle from the top down and stich a second clip to make it look like im talking with myself. i am doing a spoof on the rob lowe direct tv commercial and have already shot all the scenes but im unable to combine or overlay 2 clips without it being transparent which makes both clips of me look like a ghost. 

im using video pro 5 btw and i have all of the movie edit pro's up to 2013premium

Hi

The method you use depends on how you have shot the two videos.

Can you post still images from the left and right video (at the same point in the video) so we can see what you are starting with?
