I need to compress my images to under 100kB - it's easy on Windows picture manager - you click on the 'compress' button when you're editing and choose the size to which it needs reducing. I was hoping that Magix would enable a similarly easy route
I understand you need to compress the images, however it is the comment . . . . to enter them onto a database. . . . that is not clear.
Are you adding the images to, for example, an Access database for cataloging purposes?
If so Magix have a program called Photo Manager Deluxe which will catalogue images add tags/comments and allow simple editting, it also does not need to compress the images. A trial version is available for testing.
I don't know what the database is: all I know is that they require the files to be compressed to minimise storage. It's a medical application and requires me to send photos for diagnostic and monitoring purposes

Unfortunately this is one of those situations where I can not make a recommendation due to the nature of the use of the images.
I would suggest in this case it would be better contacting the database administrators and ask them what their specific requirements are and which software to use.
