I have several questions please

1/ if i import a bunch of jpgs into my time line as im animating kids stories I want to universally edit all the frames instead of one by one
(a) how can I add an effect over ALL the frames or say a bunch of them at once, so 10 or even 50?
(b) how can I cut the length universally, say all of them are 7 secs and i want to make them all 3 secs

Also this..
sometimes my preview screen disappears??? I have to reset the default factory settings to get it back, anyone know about this, very weird

This applies to MEP14:

a) Set the video effects for one scene and save this effect, then select the scenes, where you want to add the effect, and load the effect. That is all.

b) There are two options:
-- Go to the menu, where you set the program parameters (Y), select Audio/video. Under the last item you can set the lenght in general before importing.
-- Right click on one jpg and choose "Set new length of..." and then "Apply to all..."

c) F9 resets the workspace
