Yes, let's hope a patch appears sometime soon. I contacted Magix today by email. Am waiting for a response.

I have just received this reply from Magix.

"Sorry to hear about the problem. I'm afraid the current situation is that due to changes on the end of the external online services we need to integrate to be able to offer the travel route animation feature, our software can now no longer properly interface with them. Thus the travel route animation function is currently no longer working. We are trying to assign development capacities to fixing this. For the current "MX" product generation, we have already managed to come up with a temporary fix and are further working on a proper, long-term solution. Unfortunately, due to technical differences, it will be much harder to provide a fix for the previous product generation that you are using. We will further explore the possibilities and hopefully be able to provide a fix in the future."

Looks like the chances of this working ever again are minimal.
